MATCH PREVIEW: Three Key Players Out Against The Varsity Boys (CIMB Liga Super 2020)

Selangor squad will continue its CIMB Super League 2020 campaign against UiTM FC at Stadium UiTM, Shah Alam this Saturday.

This clash will be the Red Giants’ first match under the interim head coach, Michael Feichtenbeiner which was announced earlier this week.

The former German under-15 coach is happy with the openness of his players and the coaches who welcomed him well into the role.

"Preparations for this Saturday's match are hard work on every single day. The players are still motivated to play for the remaining fixtures of the season and they are open to adapt to the new ideas from a new coach like me,” said Michael.

“Even though I only recently manage the Selangor main team, I have confidence in every player that we have. If we can show good team spirit and work hard on the field this Saturday, surely Selangor can give a good fight against UiTM FC and we will have a great chance to win this match," Michael added.

As for players' availability, Brendan Gan will be able to be included in the starting line up after being suspended last week for his red card during the match against Melaka United. In addition, Mukhairi Ajmal is declared fit to join the team back this week.

On the other hand, Syazwan Zainon, Wan Zack Haikal, and Halim Saari could not play in this match due to injury. In addition to that, Hakim Hassan is still undergoing physiotherapy.

The Red Giants' latest position in the CIMB Super League 2020 standing is at the 8th place with 10 points accumulated as a result of two wins, four draws, and two defeats and a win against the Varsity Boys can propel them to the 4th position, depending on the results on other venues.

Hopefully, Selangor will get three full points for this week's match until the end of the CIMB Super League 2020. Let’s do this, Red Giants!
